Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world. The risk of falling victim to a crime is minimal, and there are no really dangerous areas, even in the largest cities.
As the canton of Jura does not have a large urban centre it is certainly a little safer than elsewhere! Wherever one lives, the children can go to school without being accompanied by an adult, and one can move around everywhere without risk, even at night.
